Prenatal Session (Individual 1:1; in person + virtual)

Let’s go over what you will need to know about lactation before the baby is born. We will discuss what to do right after birth as well as how to reach long term goals.

Consults (in person + virtual)

A consult is the most effective way to tackle any challenges you may be having with lactation, breastfeeding, chestfeeding, or pumping. Most insurance plans cover some or all of the fees for a consultation with an IBCLC. This service allows me to:

  • assess latch and make any necessary recommendations for adjustments

  • weigh baby before and after a feed to determine effectiveness of milk transfer (only performed in person)

  • perform an oral assessment of the baby

  • assess pump fit and use

  • evaluate feeding routine and milk supply

  • assess breast or chest issues and refer to appropriate resources

  • develop realistic and personalized goals as part of an ongoing care plan

  • discuss plans for going back to work

  • make a plan for weaning

  • moral support and confidence boosting

I provide prenatal, initial (after birth) and follow up consults. Phone and video consults are offered but not ideal for an initial assessment. Virtual options are not always covered by insurance plans. Please contact me to discuss options.

Virtual Pumping Classes

I offer an exclusive pumping class on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month.

How to sign up: From the scheduler, Select “Virtual/Telehealth” under location. Select the category with your zip code, or any if you are outside of Philadelphia. You will be brought to a page with services where you may select “Pumping Class”.

Weaning

If it is time for your lactation journey to come to an end or if you have experienced a loss during pregnancy and need to stop milk production, we can have a discussion on how to decrease supply comfortably.

Starting Solids

Starting solid foods can be a bit daunting after months of breast or bottle feeding. If you would like to go through tips on transitioning to solids, feel free to make a postpartum appointment.

Ongoing Support

If you have a question or would like to follow up on something we have discussed during a consult, please contact me. I’m here for you.

I am looking forward to talking with you! If you are ready to book, appointments can be self scheduled through my scheduler. If you would like to send me a message first or have specific questions, please fill out the form below!
